The only snag was parking: “included” meant street parking, and spaces get scarce quickly. The garage next to the hotel was well lit and clean, but cost $35 a night. The rest of the stay was excellent. The room was beautiful, quiet, and very clean, with large bottles of Zero% toiletries, plus a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, TV, and extra blanket, all in perfect condition. I liked being able to adjust the wall thermostat precisely, and the bathroom lighting was bright while the room had a soft, warm feel. The breakfast buffet had lots of good options, and staff were very nice and helpful. They also had free toothbrushes and toothpaste at the front desk if needed. Those little details can make a stay much easier, even at a finer hotel.

Maria at the front desk made us feel so well looked after. She was quick, accommodating, and helpful from start to finish, answering promptly when I called and switching our room without hesitation when we couldn’t work out the A/C controls. She also told us that, as honor guests, we could check out later, which was a lovely surprise. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The one downside was the shower: there was no hot water at all, so I had to take a very cold, uncomfortable shower. Aside from that, it was a great stay, and Maria’s 11/10 service made it memorable.

We stayed outside Downtown, and it was easy to get to and from the airport while avoiding much of the downtown traffic. There are plenty of good restaurants along 6th Street within a short walk, and the riverwalk is reasonably close. Downtown Austin was about a 5-10 minute Uber ride away. It’s a brand new Hampton Inn/Home2 Suites on the city’s East End, and one of the nicest Hampton Inn locations around at the moment. Everything was new and clean. The breakfast was among the best I’ve had, with fresh watermelon and more items than a typical location. We paid $133 for room 372, two queens with a shower, on February 4th, 2026. The main drawback is parking: the garage is on the property but small, and $35 a night feels steep. I found a spot during my visit, though weekends could be an issue. The train tracks next door and a nearby music venue could also bother some people. The train seemed to run only during the day, and the venue wasn’t open during my stay.

We booked a king facing the pool because we wanted a good night’s sleep before traveling. Instead, we got a queen facing the street and were kept awake by traffic and garbage disposal. I asked for a discount, but they offered only free parking, which you can get on the street anyway.

We had a good-sized room with two queen beds, plenty of towels, and coffee. The beds were comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and I appreciated the free breakfast. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend the hotel.
