I needed to book an extra night at the last minute, and they sorted it out really quickly and with a friendly attitude. I couldn’t extend my original reservation because they were at capacity, so I appreciated being told I could keep the same room. Some parts of the room felt a little worn, but otherwise it was a good stay. Breakfast was really good for a 3-star hotel, apart from the dry desserts.
2/9/26 The hotel was still nice overall and the beds were very comfortable. I had a problem with Griselda at the front desk, though. I called from my room around 9 PM about late checkout, and she was extremely rude. I asked if I could have it because I wanted another for my [unclear], and she refused, saying, “This is Holiday in, not your home.” Stephen was very kind and went out of his way to help, so the stay was still positive overall. 2/8/26 The staff were pretty nice, polite, and diverse. They fixed my TV and the equipment that had malfunctioned.
The front desk staff were nice, but the rest of the stay was terrible. The hotel feels very dated, cramped, and filthy. We could smell a strong smoke and weed odor in the elevator, on our floor, and in the room, even though the room was supposed to be smoke free. The bed and room were dirty, and there was mold in the shower. The air felt so dirty we could barely breathe. Housekeeping was extremely loud in the morning. At $120 a night, I think you can find somewhere better. The photos and reviews can be deceiving lol.
There were a lot of maintenance and layout problems. The bathroom sink was loose on the vanity, the wall thermostat was coming out, and the fridge cabinet door scraped the floor. Neither of the two toilet paper holders was easy to reach. The bed was so high it seemed made for basketball players, while the toilet was low enough for a third grader. The grab bar in the shower sat between the toilet and shower faucet, behind the curtain. The toilet in the ladies’ accessible restroom was too low to meet ADA height. It took over an hour to get a microphone for the meeting room. Somehow the reservation went through Priceline and cost $80 more than the event rate.
I came to town for a class and was looking forward to a break from my kids and pets, but I woke up more tired than when I went to bed. The room was uncomfortable, old, stuffy, and smelled moldy. I’m a member because I stay at Holiday Inns in Europe when I visit family, but this might be my last stay. I can’t believe it costs $250 a night. Two stars because the sheets were clean 🤷🏻♀️
