Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin NW - Four Points by IHG

We had a lovely view and really enjoyed our weekend here. The rooms were clean, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including veggie and cheese omelets, potatoes, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, and the usual muffins, cereal, bagels, and bread. They don't clean the room every day, so if you need fresh towels, you have to bring the used ones to the front desk. That's a little annoying, but it wasn't a big deal for us.

There are a few restaurants just across the parking lot, and HEB is only about three minutes down the road. The staff were friendly, the continental breakfast was good, and the location worked well for us. The main drawbacks were that the hot tub was out of service and you have to ask at the front desk in person for stayover housekeeping. At over $100 a night for a three-star hotel, I'd expect housekeeping to be included by default. Still, I'd recommend the hotel.

We had a great view from our clean room, and the hotel is close to the lake and the oasis. The front desk staff were friendly. The hot tub being out of order was a major letdown. I'm also uneasy about the elevator: there's only one, its buttons don't light up, and it groans and shudders as the doors move. The inspection sticker looked long overdue, which seems like a safety issue that needs attention.

I travel here for work every week, and Jacque R. helped make this a place I'll keep choosing. Since I wasn't sure when I'd leave, I extended my stay one night at a time. Even with a new reservation each time, she arranged things so I could stay in the same room. The hotel feels new, and the rooms and common areas are clean. My room faced a beautiful wildlife reserve, and the beds were comfortable with lots of pillows in different firmnesses. The A/C worked great, and breakfast is included. Restaurants and fast food are walkable, while HEB and Target are about six minutes away. Thanks, Jacque, I really recommend this hotel.
