Homewood Suites By Hilton Austin South Airport

I wouldn’t spend the money to stay here. The Friday morning kitchen staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and the breakfast was poor. Even the coffee was terrible. The rooms need attention too: paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling, the wood around the door was rotten, and the refrigerator made ice that looked rusty. The homeless situation nearby seemed bad enough that there was nighttime security in the parking lot. This still wasn’t the worst Homewood Suites I’ve stayed at, that was the one in mobile AL, but there are better Hilton options in Austin. I’d avoid this one.

Our vehicle was broken into while we’re staying here, and it’s a company vehicle. They say there are cameras, but we have to wait until the next day for someone to come to the office and try to get footage for us. This feels urgent, yet no one seems concerned about helping. I’m very disappointed, especially since we’re meant to stay here for two full weeks.

Our third-party booking ran into problems, but Jeremiah and his team were very helpful in sorting it out. The room was clean, the location worked well for us, and the service was excellent. Many thanks for a lovely night.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had the usual mix of fruit, grains, waffles, eggs, and sausage. The room was okay, though it seemed built for shorter people, and the commode was tiny. When the smoke detector started going off, maintenance changed its batteries, but it sounded again about five minutes later. The on-duty manager then came by personally and replaced it.
