Packages disappear almost as soon as they arrive, and management hasn’t taken basic steps to warn or protect residents. They told me theft was already a known issue when I raised it, but nobody sent an email alert. I only learned about it after FEDEX left my passport and visa on the doorstep without getting a signature. I know that drop-off was FEDEX’s mistake, but if I’d been warned, I could have sent the documents to my office. Replacing them cost me thousands of dollars. Other packages I forgot to set up for signature were gone within minutes. Residents have tried cameras, but unless one is mounted out of reach, which is hard for residents to do, it doesn’t solve much. Management seems more concerned about liability than helping prevent theft. If you like this area and want luxury, try the Bouldin across the street. For a better version of the same apartment level, there’s Gibson across the street. I know every apartment has issues, but I have pages of them. For example, what I thought were bed bugs turned out to be baby roaches already in my new place. Photos show both problems. If management is worried that telling residents about problems makes a “luxury” apartment look bad, they should fix the problems.

Leah and the apartment staff have been wonderful. Leah is friendly, professional, and always ready to do a little more for residents. The maintenance team also goes out of its way to get things taken care of. Every interaction has been positive, and you can tell they really care. I’m so thankful for all they do!

The entrance door is often left wide open because it no longer closes, so anyone can walk in. There are also people squatting in ground-floor units with working key fobs, which makes it seem like the locks were never re-keyed. Management either doesn’t know who can access the building or isn’t concerned, and that’s alarming. The elevator situation is bad too: there are two, but one has been out of service for months without useful updates or any sense of urgency. If you’re above the ground floor, carrying groceries or dealing with mobility needs becomes a real problem. This is basic building operation and resident safety, and management is failing at both. Think about how much your safety and peace of mind matter before moving here, because they don’t seem to matter to management.

The rooftop pool and fire pit are incredible, and the amenities overall are beautiful. Add friendly staff and great neighbors, and this is easily the most amazing apartment in the posh ‘04. I’d recommend Lamar union to anyone looking for an apartment around here.

The location and amenities are great, but they don’t make up for how things have been lately. The elevators are always breaking, which is extremely inconvenient, and the thefts and squatters have made me feel unsafe at home. I’m moving next month. Katherine in the leasing office was great, though I haven’t seen her in a while and doubt she still works there.
