Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Airport

The rooms were bright, clean, and updated, and the location between the airport and downtown worked perfectly. Most of all, the staff, including Tanner and the housekeepers, and manager Dinesh went out of their way to help us. We felt very welcome. I highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was tasty, and the rooms were clean and recently renovated. But the room across from the elevator had no sound insulation at all, so I'd avoid that one. They don't pick you up at the airport, though they will drop you off for $8. That's cheaper than Uber and very reasonable compared with how much less expensive they are than other hotels. I just wish airport pickup were available too, even for a fee.

The reception staff were welcoming and went out of their way to help. Thanks, Duhan and Tanner! The room itself was clean and nice, and the shower got hot, but I'd booked an accessible room with a roll-in shower and got a regular bath instead. I didn't notice until morning, or I would have asked what happened. I also wish the shuttle ran on weekends. That would make a big difference.

The night auditor was really friendly when she checked us in, and even offered us a free snack and drink. A+++++. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. Our rooms did have a bit of a smell, maybe like someone had smoked there before.
