Our family of five and our poodle had a fantastic four night stay on a pull-through RV trailer lot. The site itself was wonderful, with hookups, a playground, dog parks, a walking trail, and friendly staff. Some of the facilities let us down, though. The clubhouse was quite rundown and didn’t seem well maintained recently. The hot pool was drained during our visit, while the cool pool wasn’t warm enough for our toddlers. We couldn’t find the putters for the putting green, either. Also, the WiFi uses a captive login page that smart TVs, streaming devices, and similar equipment can’t connect to. The amenities could have worked better for our family.

The setting is quiet, near the lake, and the place itself is nice. But Sun Outdoors is the absolute worst when you have a customer service issue. They make everything difficult and offer no help. If you’re staying longer than a month, I’d recommend almost anywhere else. I’ll never spend another dime at a Sun Outdoors property, except maybe to dump my black water tanks. I’m tempted to dump them at their front entrance as I pull out.

The location is very nice, but our campsite was full of trash when we arrived: empty water bottles, trash bags, and used zip ties. We stayed at a Sun Outdoors campground in Seattle before and it was great. Management here in Austin needs to pay more attention to cleaning sites before visitors get there.

Our Winter Texans group has really appreciated the support we’ve received with all sorts of things, including our annual Chili Cook Off and bus trip to Austin. Sun outdoors Lake Travis is a great place to stay, with excellent management and friendly staff. Thank you!

The staff are great to work with, and their policies and processes are clear and efficient. We love staying at this clean, very nice RV park.
