Super 8 By Wyndham Austin/Airport North

It isn't a brand-new hotel, but it's well kept, and we were extremely pleased with our stay. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Staff were really friendly at check-in, check-out, and breakfast. Breakfast had lots of choices, even for family members with dietary restrictions. We liked that DVD players and dvds were available, though we didn't end up using them.

A clean, affordable, and quiet place overall, with a clean jacuzzi suite that worked fully. The room was better than the average Super 8, and the hotel staff were courteous. Cleaning service was a little rude, though. I brought a service dog, and staff were understanding of ADA protections. The water heater worked well, and we never ran out of hot water. Highway construction in April 2018 was an eyesore.

The breakfast was awful. The eggs came boxed, the bacon looked and tasted like plastic, and the sausage was boiled. Our room looked nice and clean when we first arrived, but just about 20 minutes after checking in, another guest opened our door with his key. The clerk had given him the same room as us. I'm glad I was dressed and that he was a nice man.

This was easily the worst hotel stay I've had, and luckily it was just for one night. The room wasn't worth $100 a night. Even while I waited for housekeeping to finish "cleaning," I walked around barefoot for ten minutes and my feet got as black as if I'd walked a mile on the street. There were stains everywhere, including what looked like blood on the curtains. The elevator also didn't work on my assigned floor.
