The Loren Hotel Austin

The artwork throughout and around the hotel really stood out. They’ve acquired a beautiful collection for guests to enjoy. We had a special two-night getaway at The Loren for my birthday, and there wasn't a single negative part of the stay. The whole team made it feel special, and we're already looking forward to coming back with our kids to this beautiful, fun city and hotel. The rooftop restaurant, bar, and pool were fantastic. Dinner had a great menu, delicious cocktails, and an impressive wine list, and lunch by the pool was just as enjoyable. Our sixth-floor room had breathtaking Lady-Bird river views, a king bed, sofa, long glass desk, and a really nice chair. The large bathroom had a big shower, soaking tub, and luxurious scented bath products. The coffee machine and minibar were a delight. The room was very quiet, and the electronic blackout curtains made it completely dark for sleeping. In the morning, we could open the electric blinds from a bedside button and see the river from bed. The hotel is in a very good location and absolutely stunning, with beautiful modern design in the property and rooms. From arrival, the front desk welcomed us warmly, and everyone we met was attentive, friendly, professional, and made us feel cared for. Truly a “Wow!” experience.

The rooftop bar is a highlight on its own, and the views from the beautifully designed, comfortable rooms are breathtaking. The Loren Hotel Austin is stunning. From arrival, every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well looked after. If you want a special hotel stay in Austin, this place is in a class of its own.

The pool is small but peaceful, and there were only a few people there at a time. I also loved the downstairs coffee shop and the very walkable location right by the Town Lake Trails. The restaurant views were beautiful, though the dishes were small and left a little to be desired. I travel often, and the genuine luxury feel here pleasantly surprised me. There were jazz players in the lobby, the front desk staff knew their stuff, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. The rooms were beautiful, pristine, and spotless, with fluffy, cozy beds and roomy, luxurious bathrooms.

We love The Loren's location, restaurant, and coffee shop, but the street noise has us very disappointed. The suites with views are all on the street side, so it’s hard to get away from the noise unless you choose a regular room facing valet. In the third-floor corner suite, the bedroom is shallow and all windows, so the bed feels like you're sleeping in the street. The hotel's best offer is earplugs and a white noise machine. Earplugs make noise louder for me and are just uncomfortable. This boutique hotel doesn't have many floors, and I really don't think the cheap windows are suited to the building. We used to live across the street with the train, and it wasn't this bad. We'll book regular rooms from now on.
