I’ve been here for three years, starting in a one-bedroom and recently moving into a two-bedroom. Both apartments were clean and well cared for when I moved in, and maintenance has always fixed any issues I’ve had quickly. The common areas are usually neat. I especially appreciate the guy who cleans the grills every day, since I love grilling. The community managers are great, and everyone is friendly and warm. It’s a good place to have a dog, and The Weaver sits right by the trail. I also like walking east through the neighborhood. It feels very safe, and there are lots of interesting plants and gardens in people’s yards if you’re into that. There are some nice businesses right downstairs: my favorite nail salon, ARCO, Afuga, a coffee shop that also serves beer and wine, and Base, where you can work out. The only downside right now is construction up the street, though thankfully I can’t hear it from my apartment.

We’re really going to miss living at The Weaver. Adri and I spent a little over two years there, and it became a big part of our East Austin chapter. We’re grateful we got to call it home and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great apartment in a great location with a great team. It was easy to get outside, run, or enjoy Austin without driving everywhere, with the trail and Town Lake so close. We could also grab coffee at Afuga across the street. The building was a great place to live, but the staff made day-to-day life especially easy. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and pleasant, and whenever we needed something they responded with kindness.

Jamal helped us right away when we walked into the leasing office without an appointment. He gave us a fob so we could take a self-guided tour, and it was great to wander through the clubhouse and pool spaces. We love how close the place is to the lake, and the location is great.

I’ve been here more than two years, and sadly the property has gone downhill a lot. Theft has become more common, and management doesn’t seem to take it seriously. Staff are rarely on-site and are very hard to reach when problems come up. Trash keeps piling up in the hallways. When I raised it, management said it was “out of their hands,” even though they could have opened the trash chute doors. It’s frustrating and shows little care for basic cleanliness. I was recently told the storage units will close in just five days, leaving residents almost no time to clear their belongings. Management also said there would be no credit or compensation for the inconvenience. When I first moved in, no one told me about the weekly Sunday car show. It lasts for hours and is very disruptive, making it harder for residents to enjoy their homes. Management doesn’t seem to care about residents’ concerns or quality of life. I’d strongly recommend doing thorough research before choosing to live here.

Praj gave me a great tour and was incredibly informative, kind, and easy to talk to. The area feels peaceful and quiet, yet downtown is close and the Lady Bird Lake Trail is just steps away. It’s the best of both worlds, and the pricing is hard to beat for this location.
