We couldn’t have asked for a better birthday stay at the Glenmore Plaza Hotel. After we eventually checked in, Jimmy surprised us with an upgrade for my wife’s birthday. The room was beautiful, with soft, comfortable bedding, a big TV, a great city view, and a jacuzzi tub whose jets all worked. The mini-split AC was perfect for me since I like a cold room, and I had one of the best nights of sleep I can remember. Jimmy also gave us helpful suggestions for places to eat and visit, and they never let us down. We were there to explore most of the day, so I’d booked a basic room at a fair price. When we arrived early and the room wasn’t ready yet, Jimmy greeted us warmly and stored our bags in a secure room with multiple cameras, so we felt fine leaving them while we went out. The hotel’s right in the center of town, with everything an easy walk away. We’ll absolutely come back.

Room 107 was roomy and recently remodeled, with a sofa and a small outdoor patio. There’s no view from the patio, but it was a nice spot to relax in the morning or afternoon. Breakfast was basic, bagels, muffins, coffee, tea, and orange juice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. If you have bad knees or hips, keep in mind there are three steps into the lobby and four more up to the first-floor rooms. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel.

We came for a wedding and had a really nice stay at the Glenmore. My son loves bagels, so he was very happy to hear they were on the breakfast menu.

Jimmy welcomed us warmly, Haley had just the right local tips, and Bud’s friendly energy made us feel at home. The room was spotless and cozy, and being just steps from the ocean made it easy to enjoy everything nearby. We had an incredible stay and can’t wait to return!

The Amelia Earheart room itself was great, with a spacious layout, huge shower and bathroom, and a lovely harbor view. The jacuzzi jets wouldn’t start, and the furnishings have seen slightly better days, but I still had a very nice stay. The outside of the hotel looks tired, with a torn awning and faded lettering, and the lobby could use some attention too. Breakfast was a joke, just a few muffins and bagels.
