Hamilton Cove Villa 9 58 With Zero Steps

My husband and I travel to Catalina Island every year, and it’s always a wonderful trip. The condo is beautiful, with breathtaking views, and makes it easy to relax and unwind. The mobile signal is weak, which can be inconvenient if you need to stay connected. But it’s an ideal place to unplug and enjoy some peace.

The balcony was our favorite place to sit, with amazing ocean views and sounds. We could watch marine wildlife, cruise ships passing by, and people doing water sports. Our unit was in good shape, nicely equipped, and came with a golf cart that you really need. The location and scenery are astonishing. The shared spaces didn’t live up to what I’d expect for the price: the pool furniture looked like it was from 1980, some areas seemed abandoned, the spa was rough and smelled terrible from the sewer drains, and loud parties in other apartments went unchecked. Would I return? Probably, now that I know what to expect.

The view from every room was lovely, and the place was peaceful and clean. All the staff were friendly, and when we asked for help, it came right away. But the golf cart was in pretty bad shape and its brakes didn’t work. The banister on the stairs to the master bedroom was broken, and the master bathroom toilet had a significant internal leak that I temporarily fixed three times. The patio table wobbles a lot, and the woodwork throughout could use a fresh coat of stain, probably only a 45-minute job. Both shower curtains were two feet too short, so water splashed onto the floor. For what we paid, the place really needs upgrading, especially the golf cart. You really need that cart.
