The Classic King was comfortable, with a very good kitchenette, an above-average bathroom, and plenty of supplies. We liked the fireplace, which suited the “cozy” promotion we booked for two days in November, and the balcony looked lovely, though we’d want to use it in warmer weather. Staff were friendly, responsive, and plentiful for the season. The house phone was broken, but we barely needed it. One small fixture on the bathroom door looked oddly cheap beside the rest. Still, we had a very pleasant stay.

We loved how peaceful the property felt, especially the outdoor area, and the location made it easy to walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious each morning and clearly made with care. Our room was spotless, charmingly decorated, and had a comfortable bed, fresh linens, cozy robes, and complimentary local treats. From arrival, the staff were warm and attentive. Everything was even better than I expected, and I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Cape May.

I just love this place. There’s even an EV charger, and the ocean views are astonishing, with the property right by the water and close to the dunes. At check-in, Carrie Anne greeted us with a big smile. We had delicious fish and chips from Chef Michael at the Avalon Brew Pub, Jade gave us great service, and Lynn took a lovely photo of the two of us. The next morning, Lizzie handled our takeout breakfast like a pro.

The location is lovely, right on the beach, and the pool was still open. There’s also a spa jacuzzi and a beautiful lounge area. What really stood out to me was the fresh, clean smell as soon as I stepped into the lobby. I haven’t noticed that at other hotels.
