Gregory House Country Inn

The place was clean and pleasant, and I'd stay again. The water was the problem: the cold tap only gave warm water, so there was nothing cold to drink, and the shower pressure was barely enough to keep the diverter in place. I hope they fix it.

The restaurant was amazing. We had a very nice, enjoyable stay, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Check-in was easy. A very nice woman greeted us, and we were in our room in under five minutes. It was lovely and nicely decorated, and although the bathroom was small, it didn't bother us. The weather was very hot, but the air conditioner worked perfectly. The breakfast is continental rather than cooked to order. Our server recommended Alexis, just five minutes from the Gregory house, for breakfast, and we loved it. We also had dinner at the Gregory house, which was superb. The wood fire Pizza was amazing, and the cheesecake was yummy. We stayed for the last two days and had a great time. I'd highly recommend both the bed and breakfast and the restaurant. If we're in the area again, we'd surely return. Thanks!!!

The people were nice, and it seems to be family owned and operated. The restaurant food was decent, especially the mussels, which were very good. The pizza was soggy and just okay, though, and the service was nonexistent. The only real perk was that it was the only place to stay near where we were visiting. I wouldn't come back. Manage your expectations before booking. The rooms are very outdated, what you might call "rustic." The bed was uncomfortable, wobbly, and noisy. The bathroom and decor look like they're from a few decades ago. The area rugs had no traction, and I slid on them and almost fell several times. Amenities were very basic, just a TV and spotty Wi-Fi. There was no fridge or place to get water besides the faucet. I'm positive the top quilt and decorative pillowcases hadn't been washed, though the sheets and towels seemed clean. The walls are thin, so you can hear everything around you. The bathroom door wouldn't fully close without significant force, and the shower drained poorly, leaving a couple inches of water to stand in.
