Avila Pismo RV Resort and Campground

The staff were polite and great, and we’ll definitely come back. The park was super clean and had lots for kids to do, including a fun game room. Our super premium site had a fire pit, BBQ, and table. We also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. There’s a small walking trail behind the dog yard that leads to a river, and they have a store.

The back-in sites are lovely and private, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The grounds, bathrooms, and showers were spotless, and it seems like a great place for families. Avila and Pismo beaches are only minutes away. There’s a farmers market, ice cream shop, and petting zoo right across the street. We’d definitely stay again.

Our first night was okay, although we didn’t get any fresh baked cookies. I don’t particularly care about that, but thought it was worth mentioning. The freeway noise is noticeable. We were glad we did laundry that night, because the water was shut off the next morning over a plumbing mains problem. We were told it would be a few hours, but it stayed off through the rest of that day and the next. We left early after two nights to find another place with water. Several weeks later, I started getting marketing emails from Highway West Vacations, even though I never signed up. I know they came from them because I use Simple Login to create a unique email address for every company. When they asked for my email at check-in, no one told me I’d be added to a marketing list.

We’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this one stole my heart. My husband and I will definitely come back. It had a quiet, relaxing feel, beautiful views, and was close to so many things to do in Pismo and Avila. The staff gave top-notch service, even walking us to our space instead of just handing over a map. Fresh baked cookies at welcome and an on-site dog park were part of the great experience. It felt like camping in the woods with resort and RV park amenities. There are cabins and site Wi-Fi, plus a pool and outdoor game area. The dog park was the biggest plus for us.
