That glowing fireplace made for such a good night's sleep. We were in town house-hunting and chose Mileybright on a whim because we wanted a change from hotels. Back home in Savannah, we'd never tried one of the many B&Bs there. Our stay was brief, but Joe and Diane made us feel welcome, even meeting us at the door when we arrived late. Joe showed us our room and explained the fireplace insert they'd added because of the cold weather. In the morning, coffee drew us into the kitchen, where we had a great conversation and a lovely breakfast: quiche, strong coffee just how we like it, toast, and homemade jams. After a full day running around town, we came back and slept just as well. Next time, we'd like to leave time to enjoy the beautiful porch and property.

When Atlanta's roads were shut down for more than two days by the snow and ice in January 2014, I was stuck without a way home after leaving the hospital and ended up recovering here. I found this B&B by chance, and I'm so glad I did. Joe and Diane were incredibly kind and helpful. They even drove me to the pharmacy and waited while I got my antibiotic prescription. My room was comfortable and had its own heater with a remote. I'd stay here again and recommend it to friends visiting Atlanta.

We chose the big front lawn for our wedding, and it turned out to be just right. Joe and Diana were lovely hosts, and the house restoration is amazing. Mileybright feels like a hidden gem on the edge of Avondale Estates.

Joe and Diana make you feel like part of the family. This bed and breakfast is near Decatur, just outside Atlanta, and only about 15 minutes from Stone Mountain. I'd happily recommend staying here.
