Ameriway Inn and Suites

After discovering bed bugs in one of the two adjoining rooms I’d reserved, we packed up right away and asked for our money back. The front desk man said his manager would only approve a refund for the room with the bugs, and he wouldn’t reconsider. Another employee offered to pay for the other room herself. That was kind of her, and she shouldn’t have had to do it. I appreciate what she did, but management’s response was disgraceful. We’d stayed here every year for the past five years for my granddaughter’s daddy daughter dance. We won’t be coming back. The one employee’s kindness earned the service five stars.

I eventually left. After trying to reach the front desk for about an hour, I walked around and found two doors propped open downstairs. I knocked and heard a guy and a girl having sex. There hadn’t been anyone answering the desk during that whole hour, so I wanted management to know. I’d been calling for about 30-45 minutes after arriving and couldn’t get an answer. Does nobody work here?

I found bed bugs crawling all over the bed, including one on my son’s arm, and several under the sheets on the box spring, from tiny ones to adults. There were ants in another room too. The first room had no working heat or TV, so I had to move. The next had ants and the TV was still broken. After asking for another room, I got one infested with bed bugs. No refund or compensation was offered. They’re fully aware of the bed bug infestation and are still welcoming people and taking their money. This place should be shut down!!!

Check-in was quick and easy, and we had a quiet night. My son and I stayed for one night. The room was clean, the coffee in it was good, and the beds and pillows were comfortable.
