Quality Inn Baker City

After a long day driving, I was glad to find a safe, clean, quiet place to stay, and it cost less than a Boise campground would have charged me. The desk staff were the best part, friendly and helpful, and seemed to love their jobs. The newly-renovated place felt welcoming from the front office to the breakfast area and room. I appreciated the new laminate floors, with no gross carpeting, and everything was super clean. I highly recommend this Quality Inn. It’s a gem.

I’m disappointed with this hotel and won’t return. The city stinks, and neither the TV nor the internet worked. When I tried to get my room, the reception lady was nowhere to be found. I waited in the lobby for half an hour, ringing the bell, calling the phone over and over, yelling hello, and even going outside to yell for help. Nothing for 30 min. Half an hour later, she came out of one of the hotel rooms and told me I hadn’t been waiting that long. She’d left the lobby completely empty, with her purse wide open where someone could take it. Lucky I’m not a criminal. I told her it wasn’t safe to leave her things there with nobody around. I almost called the cops because I was starting to think something had happened.

The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choices: batter for making your own waffles, toast, bagels, pastries, granola bars, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, and tea. They also had butter, cream cheese, jelly, and pancake syrup.

The group working there went out of their way to help us when the road was closed. They made us feel right at home. A wonderful place to spend the night!
