WoodSpring Suites Bakersfield Airport

Trey deserves special recognition. He kept the continental breakfast area very clean, chatted with guests, and made sure the food stayed stocked. Of all the motels I've been to, he handled that area best. Thank you, Trey, keep up the good work. I'd highly recommend staying here, and definitely say hi to him in the dining area. The women who checked us in that night did an amazing job, and Armani at the desk was fantastic the morning we left. The security guard, Sergio, was kind and nice too. Checking in and out was a great experience.

The hotel was tidy and clean, but it doesn't seem set up for guests visiting from outside the area or for different time zones. People who live in other zones often get up early, which is normal for US travelers, and many hotels plan for that. Several of us were up before 4, but there was no coffee and the lights in the lobby's alternate work area stayed off until breakfast. With the airport nearby and flights leaving at 5 am, management should better serve those guests.

The front desk woman was really helpful and kind. When I couldn't print from the lobby computer, she did it for me, which I appreciated. We arrived early and couldn't check in yet, but the staff let us wait in the comfortable, air-conditioned lobby, a real help on a hot day. The hotel and room were nicely decorated, and the whole place felt clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Breakfast had a great range of options. We also felt at ease from the start because the hotel is in a pretty safe, secure area. We had a great stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Bakersfield and would definitely return.

I was at the gym for about 3 hrs, and when I came back management had put all my belongings in black bags. Nobody had permission to touch my things, and some were ruined. My food had been left outside the fridge and was spoiled, along with other items. They said they did it because there was an AC leak, but I didn't see one at all. I felt completely disrespected by the staff. They shouldn't have touched my stuff. I'll post pictures.
