Hiltop Hotel

We had the nicest, most beautiful stay we've ever had. The room was so comfortable, the showers were really nice, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were super friendly, especially the kind workers Shelly 🤍. We were joking that we wanted to take the showers home, they were that nice. Can't wait to come back.

My vehicle was stolen while I was staying here, and the hotel gave me no real help with the investigation. They wouldn't share surveillance footage, saying the cameras were off site and only an IT company could access it. Staff also told me the cameras didn't work. Dealing with that right before a holiday was incredibly stressful. I had planned to stay three nights at Hill Top in Bakersfield, but after the first night I checked out and had to find another hotel at the last minute for myself and my family. The room had roaches and blood stains on the lamp covers, which was disgusting and unacceptable, and management was unhelpful throughout. One of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I'll never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid it for their safety and peace of mind.

The room was great, with two king-size beds, and the kids had fun in the hot tub. It was centrally located, so we visited two National Parks during our stay. We also liked Buck Owen’s bar, the food there was really good.

The place felt unsafe, and there were loud kids running around in the rooms next door and upstairs. We stayed four nights and never got housekeeping. After the first night we had to switch rooms because the bathroom door in ours was too large to close. The new room had a broken doorknob. The carpet was sticky, damp, and filthy, the faucet dripped all night, and the outlets were loose and wouldn't hold a plug. There were no cable channels either. Worst hotel ever.
