Best Western White House Inn

We had a birthday and romantic getaway here this past weekend, and were very happy with our stay. The Whitehouse Inn is big and beautiful, with plenty of parking, and the Maine Lodge suite gave us lots of room, lovely decor, a jacuzzi tub, a large shower, and a warm fireplace. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the staff were the most pleasant, friendly people we’ve encountered in a long time. We also got to eat at Dysart's twice, which was great thanks to the location. We highly recommend it. Thanks, Whitehouse Inn, for such a lovely experience!

As a single mom traveling with two kids, I read lots of reviews before going, and they’d already convinced me. The location still impressed me when we got there. It was Christmas, and the hotel was thoroughly decorated. They said Halloween is when they go all out, so I can only imagine. The little White House theme runs throughout, including a long cord order with presidential headshots and fun facts. There are two nice lobby areas that feel almost like living rooms, with big tic-tac-toe, checkers, and a chess set to play. We made the mistake of eating breakfast at the truckstop one day, since the hotel’s free breakfast is much better. The hot tub is kid friendly and was a big hit with my son. The mattresses could’ve been better, but for what we paid it still exceeded my expectations. I don’t want to make it sound perfect and mislead anyone. I can’t wait for our next trip to the area, and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. The BEST Best Western.

The room was nice, clean, and the TV let us stream Netflix from our phone, which was awesome. Breakfast was good too. We were only there for one night and would stay again. The location was good, though you have to drive a bit to find food or shops.

It wasn’t a terrible option at the last minute, and the place looks nice, but the room needs better cleaning and upkeep. There were little black hairs throughout the bedding, smaller hairs and grime around the toilet, and a half-drunk Diet Coke in the fridge when we arrived, which was the first clue the room hadn’t been cleaned. The fire alarm beeped more than five times during the night. I think it was warning that the batteries were low. With better attention to the rooms, this place could be good.
