After moving out of state, I booked here again on a recent visit and found the room comfortable and the staff just as wonderful as before. I used to live nearby for years, and this is likely where I'll stay on the one or two trips back each year. For the price, it's a really nice place. The area feels safe and quiet despite being close to downtown. We stayed with our cats, and the staff were amazing. I haven't tried the restaurant, and I do wish breakfast were available, though I can see why the building layout might make that difficult. This isn't a fancy Hilton. It feels more like a spare room at a favorite relative's home, which is exactly what I want after a long day of flying. No busy lobby or loud commotion, and no six floors to deal with. The massage chair is a funny extra in such a simple hotel, but I like it.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the small breakfast buffet was a nice surprise. The room was comfortable and more than adequate. The building is older and a little dated, but everything was very clean and there wasn't any pet smell. It was great to find a dog-friendly place. I'd happily stay at another Fireside when traveling with my dogs.

The service was top notch, and they were wonderful about getting us a ground-floor room near the pet area for my service dog. There's no elevator, so that location really helped. The room was clean and beautiful, and after a long day the bed was amazingly comfortable. We were here for a medical procedure, and this will be our go-to hotel when we come up.

Convenient place to stop while traveling, with clean, tidy rooms and very nice staff, especially Robert. My cat seemed happy too. Just watch the gap between the bed and wall, since my cat could slip through it easily. Putting luggage or pillows over the openings fixed that. I'd recommend staying here.

I regret booking here instead of one of the nearby options. The lamps were really dusty, there were big stains on the wall, and the bathtub wasn't close to clean. It also wouldn't drain. Calling this a deluxe room set expectations way too high. The fireplace looks cute, but its flame is so low it doesn't add much atmosphere.
