My dog loved the staff and always looked forward to getting treats when we came and went. The rooms were clean smelling, attractive, and up to date. But there was no chair at my work desk, so I ended up working on my knees on the floor, and although my room description said there'd be a pullout couch, there wasn't one. Housekeeping never came, and the trash was overflowing by checkout. The AC wouldn't work, and the second floor was much too hot in June, so I had to leave two days early. Across the street, people in tents frequently asked hotel guests for rides. The place was very pet friendly, but those other issues made the stay difficult.

I slept better here than I have in a long time. The hotel was quiet and felt safe, with a security guard on duty, well-kept grounds, flowers by the entrance, immaculate renovated rooms, and AC that kept us comfortable. The kitchenette was spotless and would be handy for a longer stay. It's dog friendly, and the grounds and nearby neighborhood are great for walks. The front desk woman had treats for our dog. There is a homeless camp nearby, but it wasn't visible from the hotel and looked more like a sparsely occupied campground than a trashy area. Keep in mind this is a small mom-and-pop place, so anyone looking for the amenities of a large corporate hotel may not find them here. We like supporting local businesses and will be back. Thanks!

I spent three winter months at the Pine Tree while working as a travel nurse, and I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The apartment had art deco furnishings and brand-new, state-of-the-art appliances. The grounds were kept up, the lobby stayed clean, and it was wonderfully quiet. The staff were attentive and even offered to pick up groceries. On snowy nights when I was hungry, the marketplace had food and essentials. The seasonal holiday decorations were delightful, and the whole place felt luxurious. I'll be back, and hope this helps.

John and the weekend front desk woman were friendly and understood the problems, and said they dealt with these issues often. Management was another story. Todd wouldn't speak with me or offer any reimbursement, even though I asked only for part of the nearly $400 I'd paid for two nights. I had trouble sleeping both nights because the AC made loud gurgling and squealing sounds in 15-minute cycles. The front desk said it would be fixed during the day, but it was still noisy the next night. They had no other room available, and the noise affected my work shifts at the local hospital. The online booking said breakfast and kitchenware were included, but there was no breakfast and no cookware available, so I couldn't cook the food I'd brought. The room was nice, but communication was poor, and I'd have slept in my car if I'd known it would be such a hassle. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere.

The room was nicely decorated, with colors I liked, a comfortable bed and pillows, a good-sized bathroom, and a useful kitchenette. Since breakfast was practically nonexistent, I bought food at the nearby grocery store, and didn't mind skipping Belgian waffles to save $20 a night. My main frustration was not being able to get hot water for tea. I asked for a kettle, since cookware can be borrowed, but was told to use the coffee maker. That doesn't heat water enough for a good cup of tea, and I don't understand why there's also coffee in the lobby. The desk was hard to use because the chair was so low that the desktop came up to my armpits. Most of the workers were friendly and helpful. I didn't like that guests and employees smoked by the only entrance, and the smell lingered even when no one was there. The hotel was quiet at night, tucked by office buildings, and close to the airport, highway, downtown, a large grocery store, and restaurants, though not close to most shopping. It was a little hard to find and needs a bigger sign on the main road. My family lives nearby, so I liked the location. It's a new hotel still working out kinks. I'd stay again if the price were right.
