Queen City Inn

I was meant to stay two nights, but two men tried to get into my room and I had to call the police. First there was a loud bang at the door of room 231. Then I looked out and saw them taking off my window screen. They managed to open the window, but I got it shut again. For some reason, none of the cameras were working, and some were unplugged. I'm never staying here again.

The free shuttle to the airport was the best part, especially if you need a place before a flight. The room itself was bare bones and disappointing: filthy carpet, old mattresses that sank when I sat down, and no USB port, iron, hair dryer, or similar extras. The tub and shower were stained and worn, and the drain worked only now and then. Hot water was hit or miss, at best. Breakfast had waffles, cereal, milk, juice, and a few other basics.

The complimentary breakfast was great, but the room was gross. I found moldy lasagna in the microwave, and there was such a bad smell that leaving the door open to air it out didn't help. If they put as much effort into the rooms as they do into breakfast, this could be a great place.

The housekeeper was really nice, and the woman at the front desk last night was helpful too. I appreciated her very polite attitude. The guy working in the morning, though, I'm not sure what his issue is, but he needs to be more polite to people. I'm in room 101.
