Ivy Manor Inn Village Center

We had our own space and privacy in the cottages while still being in Bar Harbor. The location and the whole experience were second to none. It was so wonderful that we have to come back year after year.

Room #7 was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the live music on the lawn in the afternoons. The location worked well for exploring Bar Harbor and getting into Acadia. We loved our stay and will be back!

We spent the late afternoons by the fire pits on the beautiful front lawn, enjoying local live music before heading out to dinner. The outdoor bar was great too. The inn is gorgeous, with lovely rooms, and the cold breakfast spread was solid. There was oatmeal and coffee available all day, and the staff were amazing. The location is hard to beat.

We were caught off guard by what happened during a visit this week. It was a quiet night, with plenty of open seats by both fire pits, when the bartender asked my father-in-law, who was sitting beside my mother-in-law, to leave because “they were very busy and he did not pay for a drink.” We tried to explain that I had bought a Jameson and ginger ale for my in-laws to share, but the bartender kept arguing and kicked him out. The two men sitting near us even joked afterward that it hadn't seemed very “busy.” We've been coming to Bar Harbor for years and often stop at Ivy Manor Inn for drinks by the fire several nights a week. We've recommended it to countless friends and family who visit, and during our week there we likely spent over $200. We usually enjoy chatting with other guests from around the country and world, so this was especially disappointing. Maybe the bartender was having a bad day, but after all the time and money we've spent here, this left a bad taste in our mouth.
