We’re here now, and this has been awful. I’ve stayed here 10-12 times because it’s the best hotel near cascade mountain, but this is the worst stay I’ve had here or at any Marriott hotel. The hotel let a youth hockey league and its teams take over. Kids played hockey in the halls, blocking us from getting out of our room, and the hotel did nothing to stop it. For two nights, hockey kids with their tarps off filled the pool, hot tub, and common areas without parents around to rein them in. When parents did show up, they were drunk and S-faced. The front desk line guy did nothing and seemed to have no support. We barely slept. There was hallway hockey, kids playing hide-and-seek across multiple floors, sounding like a herd of elephants all night, and boys doing cannonballs in the hot tub. It’s awful that entitled parents and their poorly behaved kids wrecked a weekend getaway for a lot of families, and the hotel didn’t step in. I won’t say I’ll never stay again, but now I’ll have to ask whether a sporting event is booked, which I shouldn’t have to do. This was handled unprofessionally, Marriott should be ashamed, and there was zero security.

Devon was wonderful and really knows customer service. We had a great time here. Breakfast had a perfect variety, and we could make s’mores at the fire-pit, which was a nice touch. The indoor-outdoor hot tub was unique and relaxing, and Devil’s Lake was only seven minutes away. It was lovely to come back to a comfortable bed and a nice shower. I definitely recommend staying here.

After a 4 1/2-hour drive, I was told to park my vehicle and trailer on the street because I was towing. I’m a Bonvoy member with over 552 nights at Marriott properties over the last eight years, and I’ve never heard this before. Other places usually have designated overflow spots for larger vehicles. Meanwhile, a very large truck was parked at the back taking up more than two spaces, which contradicted the sign at the front desk. I explained to the young man at the counter that this was a company vehicle and I couldn’t leave it on the street, since that wasn’t a designated parking area. If someone hit it, insurance wouldn’t cover it, and I’d have a huge amount of paperwork to deal with.

The hotel is new, and the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was included, and the location was very convenient. My one concern is the pool room tile. It gets incredibly slippery when wet. My granddaughter fell and bruised her elbow, then a younger boy fell not long after. For safety, they should replace the tile. I think they chose the wrong material for a pool area.

The strong shower pressure was one of my favorite parts, so refreshing. The hotel is brand new and spotless, and breakfast was well stocked with great choices. We had a comfortable, pleasant stay and loved it. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
