We picked this place because it’s right across from the train station, so boarding for the dinner train was an easy walk. Check-in was quick, and the staff member was nice. It’s a small, peaceful spot in the heart of Bardstown, and very affordable. The rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable, and smelled nice. If you smoke, you can step right outside your bedroom door instead of walking a long way and taking an elevator to find a smoking area. We’ll stay here again.

The area felt super safe, and the town is cute. Everything good in town is within walking distance, the price was reasonable, and the guy at the front desk was really nice. There was a faint cologne and cigarette smell in the room. It felt a little nostalgic to me, but my travel companion didn’t care for it. We’d absolutely stay again.

A good experience overall. The rooms are clean but basic, and they really need to add coffee makers. It’s about 4-5 blocks from Stephen foster Ave.

I came to town for one night because of a limited release at a local big distillery, and needed to be online by 6 am. We drove up the evening before to get some rest, only to discover that it was Bourbon Fest weekend in little Bardstown. The hotel price made me think we’d booked somewhere nice, and the reviews looked good. If I’d known about the festival, I would’ve stayed elsewhere. The same room costs over a hundred dollars less at other times, so the event price felt like a ripoff, and the rooms seem well below standard for that charge. The room was disgusting: there were boogers on multiple bathroom walls, the floor was filthy, and the bathroom walls were nasty. Broken shower parts stuck out of the walls. The climate control was awful too. It blew damp air into the room and didn’t really cool it until about 3 am. I had to leave at 4, so that didn’t help. I’ll never come back. I’d stay anywhere else, or sleep in my car.

I travel a lot for contractor work and usually look for cheaper hotels. At moderately priced places, the beds can be lumpy, so I was surprised by how comfortable these were. The room was really clean, the TV was a good size, and everything looked modern and well kept. It was quiet, and I slept better than I had all week at other hotels.
