Back in January of 2026, this was the best hotel I’d ever stayed at. The staff were amazing, and Taylor was great to talk with while I waited for the rest of my party. Our King Suite was clean, fully carpeted, and had Apple TVs. I came back in March and referred a friend; we paid for her room too, thinking that would make things easier. There were a few feathers in our room, maybe from a pillow or someone’s pet, and animal hair was hard to get off the couch. We let it go and flipped the cushions. Then things went downhill. A note taped to the door said that on Friday they’d let a stranger into the room to install a wire. I thought it might be Ethernet for the smart TV, but it turned out to be DirectTV. Afterward, we couldn’t use YouTube, Hulu, or any of the other TV apps, and we couldn’t cast to the screen either. That ruined the last two days of our stay. They also left the holes in the wall where the Apple TV had been mounted. They could have left it plugged into HDMI 2 so guests could still use it. The couch was still nice, but with the TV no longer working the way it had, it wasn’t worth paying $100 a room to come back.

The location made it easy to get to the bourbon distilleries and other local activities, and breakfast was different each morning. Most of all, this was our best stay in 12 years of traveling with Olivia, our black lab. I usually worry about her in hotels, but here she felt welcome, with a huge area just outside the west door for her to explore. The staff were wonderful and patient with all our questions and needs. Thanks for taking such good care of us.

A pleasant scent greeted me as I walked in, and the hotel and room were very clean. The place just has a good vibe, which seems to come from whoever runs it. The staff were great, too. I stay in hotels all over the country, and this was one of the best stays I’ve had in a long time. Five stars, and Netflix access was a nice extra.

My wife and I are here at least once a month because the rooms are comfortable and very nice. Sam and the whole crew take such good care of us. They treat us like family instead of just guests, and the staff are the best. Thanks to everyone at La Quinta in Bardstown for giving us reasons to keep coming back.

The rooms felt new, and they were so clean and neat. Staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the breakfast. This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at in years. I wish we could find one like it everywhere we travel. We’ll definitely come back!
