Bring your groceries, seriously. It’s a very small town with no grocery stores or fast food nearby. The Man Camp itself is great, though: clean, comfortable beds, and a fantastic cleaning crew.

Breakfast gets nauseating by the end of a stay because it’s the same thing every single day. Out of the five cooks on rotation, only two make anything decent; the others heat frozen food and serve it. There’s also a patch of land in the middle of the mancamp where the septic tanks are kept, and they leak. We call it lake caca. The walls are paper thin, and there’s a door into the room next to yours, so there’s very little privacy. I can hear my neighbor having a casual conversation as I write this, and I’m sure he can hear my TV. I don’t need a lot of amenities, but I do care about comfort and privacy, and there’s very little of either here.

The food was decent, and housekeeping was good about letting you sleep without disturbing you. It was a pretty decent camp, a home away from home, and the ladies helped make it feel that way.

A quiet place with great food. I’ve stayed here for extended periods several times, and the office has accommodated every request I’ve made. This is my favorite Lodge.
