Carolina Lodge

The king bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. It had two chairs, a modern TV, microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Nearby there’s a Huddle House, a laundromat, Wal-Mart, and several other businesses. I had a really pleasant stay.

I’ve stayed here several times and haven’t run into any problems. The location works well for me, the place is clean, and the staff are great. It’s also low cost. I’ll definitely stay again.

The room was dirty, and when I asked the front desk for supplies so we could clean the bathroom enough to shower, they refused. We were given just one towel, and it was covered in long hair. There was hair around the tub and throughout the bathroom too. The maid started knocking on doors well before checkout and was downright rude. If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ll never stay here again.

The water was yellow when I went to use the shower, and the room itself smelled awful, like a homeless person had been in there. The refrigerator smelled sour, and the smoke detector and walls were yellow, which looked like signs of smoking. I told the on-duty manager, but he kept insisting it wasn’t a smoking room. I couldn’t make myself sleep in there, so I spent both nights in my truck. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. You’d be better off staying at the Hampton 20 miles away or sleeping in your vehicle.
