Catskill Mountains Resort

We were lucky to get a cabin, and it was immaculate and really comfortable. The front desk staff also printed information for us about nearby attractions and shopping, which was helpful. Meals were delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions were enormous. On Saturday night there was entertainment, plus a gentleman selling lovely jewelry. Will, Andy, and Millie made us feel like family. They were so welcoming and seemed to know what we needed before we did. The chef is brilliant, and everyone was friendly and helpful. My husband and I had a fabulous weekend at Catskill Mountain Resort. We’ve already recommended it to friends and hope to return to see our new friends.

We came for our engagement weekend, and the owner and everyone there made us feel at home from the moment we arrived with a drink. The food was fantastic, too. We were a large party and nobody had a complaint. It was such a wonderful weekend that my family and I can see ourselves coming back here for years.

They made handling the bill easy by dividing the food total across all our cards for equal payments. We also had access to the pool throughout the evening. Our party of more than 25 was given a private area with an appetizer buffet when we arrived, then we ordered several kinds of pizza, all very good. Catskill Mountains Resort even arranged a bus at no extra cost, picking us up together at a central spot and returning us there later. They were very accommodating with our large group. The place seems high quality overall, and I’d recommend it for this kind of outing. I imagine smaller groups would enjoy it too.

We only booked one night during a quick trip through the area, and now wish we’d stayed longer. My wife and I have stayed everywhere from roadside motels to upscale resorts, and this place is a real gem. The welcome was warm, the main hotel felt both comfortable and upscale, and everything was spotless. Dinner in the lovely dining room was steak and shrimp with wine. The food was amazing, arrived on time, and our server was excellent. The hosts were among the most charming people we’ve met. We laughed and had a wonderful conversation. Our room, 215, was a pleasure to relax in, and outside there’s a fire pit and swings where we enjoyed some wine. The music and fireplace in the dining room set a great mood. We left planning to return in summer for the pool and outdoor dinner seating. We love this resort.
