We’d definitely stay again on another cross-country trip. The highway is right there for easy access, but the traffic noise doesn’t follow you into your stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were exceptionally clean with comfortable beds, a welcome change from other places on this trek. Even though it’s pet-friendly, there was no sign that lots of pets had been in our room. They do a great job cleaning between guests. The owner has two very sweet dogs on the property. You hardly know they’re there unless you see them in their cute winter sweaters, wagging their tails to greet you. They’re well behaved, and you don’t hear them.

We make this our stop whenever we travel in this direction, both going and coming back. The atmosphere is friendly, and the owners are kind and caring about your particular needs. They’re very accommodating, the rooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable. They welcome pets, too, and even cook breakfast while you have coffee.

The couple running the place were extremely friendly. I arrived very late on both nights, rang the bell, and they came out to help without any fuss. That kind of service feels rare these days. They made sure breakfast was taken care of, and the key drop-off was easy. It’s set a little way back from the highway but still very convenient.

This has that small-town hospitality, and the guest photos really do match what you’ll find. The room was clean, well lit, and had loads of Direct TV channels. The bathroom had hot water, something I don’t take for granted after Motel 6. Breakfast was free, with a whole spread, and the owner made eggs and waffles himself. He’s a fun guy, so I even added some photos, which I don’t usually do. If you want a place that feels worth more than you paid, choose this one.
