These big rooms have a fireplace, living area, and kitchen, and the resort looks like a nice place for families to stay year-round. Just be aware that the rooms are about 1.3 kilometers from the main hotel and resort building, so getting to everything besides your room means quite a walk.

Alpenglow is part of the Attitash Mountain Village resort, about 0.8 miles from the main property. We tried both locations, and Alpenglow was quieter and more secluded, which suited us when we wanted some peace. This unit felt newer and better cared for, with a bigger balcony and fewer people around. Guests can use Attitash's amenities, including the pool and tennis courts, but need to drive a short way down the road to reach them.

We paid $259 for three nights, and for that price it was worth the sit-down talk and timeshare tour at the main resort. I'd do it again. We had side-by-side rooms, 17 and 18, which worked perfectly for our family of eight. The kitchenette was handy, though it could use more light. The place was clean and comfortable, and the beds were great, unlike what I'd read in some other reviews. We also used the outdoor grill one evening. I rate a business according to what I pay, so keep that in mind: this may be a two-star motel, but we really enjoyed our three-night stay. It's part of Attitash Mountain Resort, a little way down the road, so you'll need to drive to the pool, hot tub, tennis, trails, and other facilities.

Lovely rooms, really helpful service, and a beautiful location with great views. It's close to everything, too.

The location was the one good part of this stay. This was the second trip in a row when our room was double booked, and the other guests told me staff had badly disrupted their vacation here twice as well. A family was given keys to my room and walked in while I was changing, a father and young child right there. They said they wouldn't come back. The staff offered a $100 restaurant gift certificate for what had been a humiliating situation. When I called the front desk to report what happened, they hung up on me. I called again and asked for management, and Robbie hung up on me too. After all that and the loss of privacy, they downgraded my room. The replacement had dirt on the floor, holes in the grout where bugs were coming in, and shower tiles coming apart from water damage. One of the most traumatic hotel experiences of my life. If I could give zero stars, I would. Find another place to stay in the north.
