The kitchen area was spacious, clean, and actually really nice, though a little outdated. The suite was clean overall, but it hadn’t been deep cleaned. I found trash and other things behind the nightstand and bed while looking for an outlet. The bathroom toilet had rust stains from the water, so at first glance it looked like it was full of dirty water. The playground out back is falling apart, with rotting equipment that needs upkeep. The swing bar bent under the weight of a 10-year-old, and the whole area felt like it was waiting to cause a tetanus shot. We were there for just two days on a last-minute getaway, and there wasn’t much else available. I’d read the negative reviews and can see why, but I wasn’t all that appalled or disappointed, aside from the toilet. These are wilderness cabin type rooms, so you can’t expect the feel of corporate places like Wyndham Suites or Motel 6. Still, a lodging place should meet a basic cleanliness standard. I probably won’t return. It’s not that I was disgusted with the place, but I’d like to try some of the other cabin establishments nearby. There may be better choices in the area.

The rooms looked clean, but they felt tired. The mattresses were worn, the antique air conditioner was worn too, and the couch pull-out wasn’t usable as a bed. Most of the bulbs were out, though the office replaced them. We discovered there was no toilet paper after the office had closed at 8pm, even in summer, and had to beg some from other cabins. We reserved one kind of room and got another. Another traveler learned that their paid, reserved room had been rented to someone else, leaving them to argue with management for a refund and find somewhere else. The wooden play set out back was worn, and its swing bar bent under the weight of a 10-year-old. The pool was clean and nice, but definitely not heated. The Inn looks nice from the street, and there may be nicer rooms, but there was no way to know. We’ve stayed in much better places nearby for the price. Maybe we ended up with their worst room on a bad day, but we won’t be back.

We had to find another hotel after arriving for our two-night booking with Will's Inn. The room reeked of smoke despite being marked non-smoking, and although we’d told management about our dog, the room was marked no pets. There were no sheets, pillows, or towels. I didn’t want to set our things down because I was worried about bed bugs or other creatures. It was completely unsanitary, and the AC didn’t work. When we checked why, the outlet it was plugged into was charred, like there’d been an electrical fire. So unsafe. We called management to ask for another room or a refund, but they never returned our calls. I never write reviews, but this was so bad that I have to warn people. I’m not picky, and I’ve stayed in plenty of places. We filed a claim with our credit card. Will's Inn sent them an invoice as proof of our stay, but the invoice number, reservation number, and room number were all different from what we’d been given. The invoice was dated after our stay. It looked obvious to us like they’d changed all the information to cover up what they gave us. Awful people. I would not recommend this place. Highly unsanitary, unsafe, and hazardous.

The room was okay, but I wouldn’t pay that price for it again. They should stock more towels instead of just one towel and six face cloths, and provide little soaps in the bathroom. The toilet bowl was gross enough that I went out to buy cleaner. They also need to do a better job with the beds and wash the sheets and linens more often. There are definitely things they could upgrade and improve. I probably wouldn’t come back.

The staff were around, greeted us whenever we drove up, kept turning over rooms, and checked whether we needed anything. The place was clean with plenty of clean linens. It’s an outdated building with some cosmetic flaws, but we knew that going in and didn’t mind. Our three-room apartment had loads of space, so the kids could sleep in separate rooms. I was actually scared to stay after reading the reviews on booking, but the staff seemed to do their best to maintain the place. For the location, the price is unattainable. Just be prepared to use it as a place to stay, not a luxury resort. I first rated it three, then bumped it to four, but remembered the pool was closed, so it’s back to three stars.
