I stayed here for three months while working as a travel aide. The monthly rate was $550, and I brought my own sheets and towels and cleaned my room myself. The motel is old and really needs a deep clean. Other travel aides warned me that the owner might walk into rooms, though that never happened to me. An older woman runs the place, and she could use help from her family or someone hired to clean. You get what you pay for. I'd call it a two-star motel.

The place was extremely dirty, with dust and cobwebs everywhere, and the office owner was difficult to deal with. She told us what temperature to keep the heat at and said we couldn't close the bathroom door because she needed the heat to get in. She also goes into guests' rooms whenever she feels she needs to check them, without asking permission. She talks with you about other tenants, so I assume she talks about you with them too. I've heard people who know the place say she invades guests' privacy by entering their rooms without permission. Seeing these high reviews made me wonder if they came from family or friends working at the assisted living place nearby.

I stepped into the room, saw the yellowed mirror and smelled pot, then turned around and left. All the rooms are smoking rooms, and I was already aggravated by what had happened outside: the owner's vicious dog kept growling and lunging at me and my dog. When I arrived, the owner met me at my van and said the headboard had fallen off. The bed hadn't been made because the sheets needed to come off to fix it. I told her I didn't need a headboard if the room was clean. She said she'd cleaned it earlier, then went to get someone to help. He came from another room carrying cleaner and a broom. I thought they were going to fix the headboard, but both went into the room and came out a couple of minutes later. I saw her put a small item into a bin for dirty things. I wish I'd taken photos. I shouted that I wouldn't let a dog stay in that room and told her to cancel all three nights of my reservation. Stay away from this property!

The bathrooms are very small, but they were clean, and we had no complaints during our three-night stay while seeing the area. It's an old motel, and the owner is working on updating it. She was an absolute doll and worked hard to make sure guests were happy. We thought it was excellent value and would stay again when we're in the area.

We had to ask for toilet paper every day, and the owner even asked what we used it for. Once, after we'd used the last of it before heading out, we came back to a replacement roll with only a quarter inch left. I found that disrespectful and unimpressive. When I asked about it, she said there had been toilet paper theft. I told her we weren't stealing it, but I didn't think I should have to explain how we used it. We were there in winter for a funeral, with temperatures below zero. The pilot light went out every night and several times during the day in both rooms. The owner blamed my dog's tail, even though my dog had never been in the other room. We brought a small electric heater to stay warm at night, and she complained that it was costing her a bundle to run it. We left a day early and gave her 24 hours' notice that we planned to check out the next day. My mother returned the keys and said we'd be expecting a refund for the unused night. The owner wished us a safe trip home, but three weeks after we got back, she texted that they don't refund early checkouts. The charge is now in dispute with the credit card company. Save yourself the trouble and stay in Greybull!
