The hosts made our stay feel perfect, and their warm, personal attention was a big part of that. We loved the views and the elegant breakfasts, carefully made with wonderful food. The Inn is full of charm, from its furnishings to all the thoughtful little details, and it sits in a beautiful setting.

Bass Harbor and Ann's Point Inn ended up being the part of Acadia we loved most. We forgot all about Bar Harbor and its crowds. For a relaxing stay in a charming area, with Acadia to explore, this is where we'd go. The stay was unforgettable, and we really didn't want to leave. We came for our honeymoon after trying plenty of high-end inns around the country, so we had high expectations. Alan and Jeanette surpassed them. They were polished professionals, and their service and attention to detail stayed consistently thoughtful throughout our visit. Breakfast was made to order, with incredibly fresh ingredients and a lovely presentation prepared that morning. Eating on the porch or deck, looking out over the water, was part of the experience. In the early evening, we were invited to a complimentary wine and cheese pairing. It felt fresh, easygoing, and unpretentious, and made the stay feel even more personal. The whole design of the experience was masterful. We didn't feel like a million dollars, but ten million.

The Jacuzzi and sauna are well worth making time for, and so is the 5.30 pm wine and cheese gathering, graciously hosted by Allen with a spectacular view of Bass Harbor. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with the same view from the patio or indoors. Between the lovely hosts, the wonderful food, the space, and all the little touches of luxury throughout the inn, this is the best B&B I've ever visited. You won't be disappointed.

That gourmet breakfast is beyond gourmet, and Alan and Jeanette have created a little piece of paradise. They make you feel like royalty, and once you're there, leaving is hard.

On the "quietside" of Mt. Desert island, Maine, this lovely Inn is close to Acadia. The rooms are beautiful, and breakfast is delicious.
