Days Inn by Wyndham Bastrop

Peter and Kevin always make my stays here in Bastrop, TX, feel amazing. The staff are friendly, and the rooms have plenty of space, plus a refrigerator and microwave. Circle K is right next door for gas, drinks, snacks, or a late night bite. With the rates being the best in town, Days Inn by Wyndham is an easy choice for me.

I wouldn't call this a welcoming place for a family or a woman staying alone. There were men hanging around outside on both levels, and I didn't feel very safe. The beds were clean, but the room smelled really musty, and the heavily soiled or stained chair should be taken out.

The beds were so comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the rooms were spotless. The place was quiet and affordable, and the staff were friendly. I wanted to add my experience because some reviews from earlier months were very harsh. Breakfast was sparse, mostly carbs and juice without protein, and the AC was hard to cool down or keep at an even temperature across the room.

We were out our money after management refused to take responsibility, and I'm furious about it. We asked for an accessible room because of age and mobility needs, but got put upstairs with no elevator. When we asked them to fix the problem, they wouldn't accommodate us. They also told Expedia they'd kept the lights on or provided services that never happened, which blocked our refund. Shameful treatment of seniors.
