Comfort Suites Batesville

We booked about six weeks ahead and got an email confirming our stay just days before the trip. After driving several hours with two young kids, we arrived and learned the General Manager had canceled the reservation. Nobody called, emailed, or notified us beforehand. Completely unacceptable.

The smell in the room was really bad. I can't tell if it was mold, something sour, or smoke, but it was unpleasant. If smells bother you, I'd avoid staying here.

We came to help Batesville and nearby towns after the ice storm, working on the roads and restoring power. The front desk staff were very rude, especially the pregnant woman who accused us of having a dog. We asked her to check the cameras, but she refused and spoke disrespectfully as if we'd done something wrong by asking. She later faked a call to us, pretending to be corporate. We called the corporate number, and they knew nothing about it. After we left an honest review about how she'd treated us, she called to say she wouldn't let us extend our stay, even though we had five rooms. I think corporate needs to address the staff's manners. She acted like she ran the place, and the front desk workers living at the motel may be taking rooms away from paying customers. Do better by the people working to help this community.

This was the worst motel experience. My company has been in Batesville since the ice storm, working 16-hour days to get power back, but the young women in the office were rude and childish. They accused us of having a dog in our room and of having some random woman living there, someone who doesn't exist. They said they'd seen her leaving the laundry room on another floor. Even other workers said it wasn't us. Instead of checking the cameras, they took $250 from my account without asking and threatened to kick me out when I asked them to look and refund my money. They never called to confirm whether there was a dog. The staff gave us dirty looks and treated us like liars. They also told my wife they'd seen a woman and dog leaving my room 43 days in a row, which was very unprofessional. We were out in the cold all day restoring power, and you'd think they'd show some appreciation or try to help. We had five rooms and tried to reserve seven more, but they gave those away, so my guys had to sleep in their trucks another night. I have 60 employees, and I'd fire anyone who treated customers that way instead of trying to figure things out. They need new management and better professionalism.
