Richmond Inn & Suites-baton Rouge

The room was clean, attractive, and just the right size, and the bathroom looked recently redone, bright, and spacious. The lobby made a strong impression too, with nice decor and the bar right beside the breakfast area. It seems the hotel has been updated recently. We heard a lot of noise from other rooms and guests, though the hallway itself was fairly quiet. The room walls or ceilings didn’t seem very thick. The location is convenient near the highway, with shopping and restaurants a short drive away. Staff were pleasant and quick to help when I had an issue with the TV remote and later asked for an extra blanket.

We were impressed by the huge bathroom, especially the double sinks, and the room had enough space for us to move around comfortably without bumping into each other or dodging furniture. There was also a bar and a cozy seating area for games or TV events, and the full hot breakfast bar was phenomenal. This was our first stay at Richmond, but it definitely won’t be our last. Thank you!

The suite had a separate bedroom, which was nice, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good for something included, and we were close to downtown as well as some good restaurants. The room itself could use an update: stained furniture, weak lighting in a few spots, and a bathroom that needs redoing. Nothing awful, but it didn't feel worth the price.

The room had plenty of space, a loveseat, a fridge and microwave, double sinks, and a comfortable bed. The lobby, landscaping, and pool looked great, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. But the room needs updating, and carpet in a pet-friendly room isn't a good idea. It reeked of air freshener. I have allergies, and the smell gave me a headache, almost like formaldehyde. I left the door open to air it out, but I could still smell and taste it long after leaving. The room door also took 5-7 tries to open from inside each time. This wasn't what I expected from the advertising.
