The two things this hotel has going for it are the location and breakfast. It's awesome for getting to the LSU campus, and the fresh pancakes and Grits were delicious. My room was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable, though the lower-level view was terrible, looking out at a roof and facade. Front desk staff were okay, but not especially friendly. Overall, a good stay, but around $900 for two nights is insane.

A short walk to campus makes this a great choice when visiting LSU. The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise, especially the pancake machine. Not many hotels offer that now. The quality was solid for an extended stay. It's definitely not the Ritz-Carlton, but I'll absolutely stay here again!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the homely touches, even the box of tissues. They had a good range of appliances, including an iron. The staff were fantastic, helpful, and ready to sort out any issues. I had a great stay and highly recommend it.

Being right by LSU campus and Tiger Stadium made this a convenient stay, especially during football season when parking is hard to come by. We could just walk from the hotel. Breakfast was included for free, too.

For $142, this is probably the best hotel I've stayed at in the US. I don't really know what makes a hotel five-star, but places that cost $500 or more a night often don't even have a fridge or oven, and charge for Wi-Fi. Here, the rooms have kitchens with pans and other utensils, plus free Wi-Fi, a roomy fridge, microwave and dishwasher. I have a very sensitive stomach and eating out every time I travel can make me sick, so being able to cook was a big deal. The breakfast buffet was really good, too. It isn't especially luxurious-looking, but it feels cozy and has all those amenities. I'd try Sonesta in other places as well.
