SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baton Rouge North/Airport

We were driving from Baltimore for my daughter's graduation at Southern University on 12/19 at 10:00 am, and had kept the hotel updated about our arrival. When we got there at 7:30 that morning, London and Ty already had our key and extra towels and washcloths ready for our group of seven. They were proactive, courteous and professional. The location is only about five minutes from campus, and their care made the stay feel perfect. Thank you both for everything! 😍😍😍🙏🏽

The room itself was fine, though dated, but the bathroom was disgusting. There was urine all over the toilet and body hair on the grimy shower wall and floor. The front desk was unwelcoming when I checked in, unlike my experience at other Suites.

The room and front desk service were both awful. The soap holders were rusty, the refrigerator didn't work and ruined my cold items overnight, and the coffee maker looked like it was from the '80s. The soap and shampoo dispensers were watered down. The washer and dryer were bad, and the laundry room was a long walk away. Breakfast was lousy and the server was rude. When I asked about security, they said they couldn't get to my things as long as they were locked up. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel is only semi-OK, and the carpet is a little funky. One worker asked me, “Well, do you live far?” because I was getting off late and coming back early. No, I don't live far, but people still need to eat and shower when they get home. They don't just fall asleep as soon as their head hits the pillow. The way some of the staff talk makes it seem like they stopped at high school, which is sad, especially when we're ranked last in education.
