Being just about five minutes from Old Town and the beach strip made it easy to get to the local restaurants, boutiques, and coastal views without the busy beachfront noise. There's also a Waffle House and a liquor store right next door, so you can walk over for what you need. The rooms were spotless and well kept, and they welcome both dogs and cats, which makes bringing pets along simple. They have smoking and non-smoking rooms, too. The family-owned feel comes through as soon as you check in. It's warm and down-to-earth, not stiff or corporate, and the whole place has a laid-back coastal feel. Cozy, clean, affordable, and full of character. We'll be back!

The front desk staff were exceptional, and the room was very clean with good towels. We were there for two nights over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The beds were very comfortable, with large photos above them, and the room was nicely decorated. It came with a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, plus the TV had plenty of channels. There was a light breakfast in the lobby. Highly recommend.

We picked this place for the price and because it was near a family event, but there wasn't anything special about it. The pillows were soft, though. The rooms are worn, the TV remote didn't work, most outlets were loose, and smoke detectors had been removed. I wouldn't drink the water. It didn't feel like a place for families, but it could do if you just need a quick rest and don't mind something like indoor camping. At check-in, one unusual guest went on a rant about her room being bugged. For parts of the weekend, I also felt like there might be a surveillance team in the parking lot.
