The host was quick to reply and kept us informed about road closures, including updated directions. The location and scenery were lovely. Cleanliness was the problem: there was an empty shot bottle in the cupboard and candy on the floor. Once the hot water ran, the shower mat smelled of urine, and some towels and washcloths in the bathroom clearly hadn’t been washed.

We rented both units for our group of seven, with a family of four, including kids aged 4 and 7, downstairs and three adults upstairs. There was plenty of room, the beds met my wife’s high standards for comfort, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The house felt peaceful and secluded, yet it was only a mile from town, so we could walk or bike in. A great base for beaches, biking, and hiking. We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and would stay again.

We stayed during the Apple Festival and loved how close the cabin was to town while still feeling tucked away. It was quiet, peaceful, sparkling clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Hank and Liz were great hosts. We’re looking forward to returning this year.

Rick & Amy were personable and accommodating, and they responded promptly whenever we had a concern. The property was clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, and full bath. We had a view of Lake Superior from the top balcony. They even left frozen pizza in the freezer, plus coffee, tea, and cereal bars on the counter. WiFi was available, along with a TV and Roku. We definitely plan to stay again when we visit the Apostle Islands.

A neat little place that felt like an apartment, and having a kitchen made it easy to cook. I liked the setting outside town, with woods around it. I’d stay here again.
