Executive Residency By Best Western

As a Diamond Select member, I really enjoyed my stay at the Baytown, TX location. The large rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the property’s design carried through into the rooms, making the atmosphere inviting. The staff were friendly and eager to make sure I had a great stay, even bringing milk up to my fourth-floor room. They took care with breakfast, too. The selection was the same as at other Best Western properties, but here they made the eggs and gravy enjoyable. This is definitely my go-to place when I’m in the Baytown, TX area, and I confidently recommend it. Stay Blessed Yolanda

The staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming, and moved us straight away when we complained about a musty, nearly moldy room. The next room was a little better, but still smelled. We’re now at another Best Western with a similar odor, though thankfully not as strong, so I wonder if a cleaning product used at more than one location might be behind it. Whatever it is, it’s very unpleasant. We tried to air out the first room, but found the windows wouldn’t open. We also saw a bullet hole in the glass. I can only guess somebody once tried to fix the ventilation Texas-style with a firearm. I doubt that helped. The place looks recently renovated. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, bathrooms modern and clean, and water pressure decent. The small pool was clean, though it didn’t get afternoon sun. The basic kitchenette was fine, and the very simple gym was better than nothing. We slept badly because of the noise and temperature swings. There’s a big gap under the hallway door, so you hear nearly everything outside, and you can hear the nearby interstate too. Worse, our A/C took ages to start, leaving the room hot and humid, then got loud as a fighter jet and blasted freezing air for a few minutes. We kept swinging between too hot and too cold. We were too tired to make it to breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. We paid well under $100 a night, and that price plus the genuinely kind team is why I’m giving four stars. Without them, it would probably be a three-star review. The stay felt more like a two-star experience than a three-star property, but for that price it was still acceptable.

The convenient location and amenities, including breakfast and fitness facilities, make this a dependable option for work or leisure when you want comfort at a good price. Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, and check-in went smoothly. Rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped with kitchenettes, which makes them a good fit for an extended stay.

The staff were super helpful and had great customer service. I really liked the smell, and the room was very clean.
