Embassy Suites by Hilton Cleveland Beachwood

There’s a lot of room to gather and socialize here, and the interior feels expansive without being expensive. The common areas are varied, interesting, and comfortable, which really impressed me. Our room is a suite with a tiny kitchen and a separate full den/work room next to the bedroom. The staff have been attentive, from housekeeping and maintenance to the front desk. Tiffany was especially helpful getting us settled so we could freshen up before a nearby funeral. The pricing is great too.

Breakfast, bar, and front desk staff were the bright spots during this extended stay. Tiffany and Danielle at the desk were professional, courteous, and helpful, as were the breakfast and bar teams. Tiffany also helped with a housekeeping request after we went two days without service. She was kind and professional, one of the few good parts of the stay. The pool and fitness center were unavailable. I only learned at breakfast well into the stay that guests were supposedly meant to receive daily passes to Lifetime Fitness instead. Nobody told me at check-in or later. The General Manager insisted the pool was open, but there was a sign saying it was closed. He refused to walk with me to see it and also refused the Lifetime day pass. His response felt dismissive and unacceptable. The General Manager came to my room early one afternoon while I was resting, saying housekeeping had reported a marijuana smell. That accusation was false. I invited him in to check, and there was no evidence of it. I was offended by the accusation and how it was handled. My husband is a professional gamer and had an important tournament during our stay. He asked for help connecting his gaming system to the hotel network. Ana, the evening front desk associate, said it couldn’t connect because the hotel didn’t have smart TVs. My husband couldn’t compete and lost approximately $2,000 in tournament earnings. After he spoke directly with the General Manager, he eventually got the information needed to connect. The General Manager said he’d follow up, but never did. I’m deeply disappointed by this stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton in Beachwood, Ohio. The poor communication, unavailable amenities, false accusation, and management’s behavior made for a badly managed experience. I won’t stay here again, don’t recommend it, and will contact Hilton Corporate to escalate my concerns. It didn’t meet the standards I expect from the Hilton brand.

The front desk ladies were helpful and pointed me toward places to eat and visit nearby. My room was clean and had no odor, which I mention because I’d seen a review complain about that. I was only there for one night, but it went well. The place looked like a typical Embassy Suites, and to me they all have a similar feel. I’d stay there again.

This place made my skin crawl. I was itchy and sneezing, and I couldn’t relax. Everything felt dirty and outdated, with old food caked onto the couch and floors and stains around. I even wondered if there were bed bugs. It has potential, but it needs a complete cleanout and fresh start. If dust bothers you, don’t stay here.
