Home2 Suites by Hilton Cleveland Beachwood

I had a great stay and would come back. The front desk agent gave me a handy room for taking my dog out and loading or unloading the car. The room was spacious, with a large fridge, a toaster, and kitchenware. It was mostly clean, though I spotted a wrapper on the floor and wondered how thoroughly it had been vacuumed. Two bulbs were out, but there was enough light that I didn’t ask to have them changed. I mentioned it when I checked out. I skipped housekeeping, but had plenty of towels, toilet paper, and paper towels for all five days and four nights in room #124. The back door sometimes didn’t work properly, and twice I had to walk around the building to get in.

Breakfast runs until 11 on weekends, and checkout is at noon, which we really appreciated. The rooms are large and modern, and the location and value are good. The one bad part was a staff member outside our room, near the lobby, loudly complaining about his schedule and gossiping with friends for hours starting before 7am. There were plenty of guests eating just a few steps away, but we couldn’t hear them at all, so he was especially loud. I’d suggest getting a room farther from the lobby.

I left my computer behind, and the hotel held it for me, which was really good customer service. During a pleasant Labor Day weekend, Darian, the front desk manager, made sure my room needs were met despite the short staffing. Housekeeping and the hotel director were great too. The location is a plus, right off the freeway. If you stay here, ask for Darian. I’d definitely recommend it to guests.

The suite made the stay especially comfortable. It was spacious, and having a separate living area meant I could unwind after a long day. It felt more like a small apartment than a regular hotel room. Everything went smoothly from check-in through checkout at Home2 Suites by Hilton Cleveland Beachwood, and I’d happily return.
