Americas Best Value Inn Beardstown

For a quick, affordable trip, this was a quiet and clean place to stay, with restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was being remodeled, but the rooms were still clean, and everyone I dealt with was nice and helpful. Even with a do not disturb sign on my door, Milagro, the cleaning lady, checked whether I needed anything when I came out. She brought fresh towels and took my trash. The manager also brought me a hair dryer.

The young man at the desk was courteous, and my room was larger than average. Still, the property needs repairs. They seemed to be renovating, but the work wasn't finished. Breakfast was pretty limited, just sweet rolls in cellophane packages. I was traveling alone for business. If I had another choice, I probably wouldn't stay here again, especially with a family.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, and I was pleased with the accommodations. Staff were polite and helpful, and finding the hotel wasn't a problem once I got there. At night, though, the entrance to the property was hard to spot. I drove past it and had to go a mile down the road to turn around before I found the parking entrance. A light at the entrance would help. Otherwise, it's a nice place, and I'd be happy to stay again if I'm in the area.

The rooms look like they've all been changed and were clean and neat. My recent stay was really satisfying, and the front desk was friendly and helpful. It seemed well managed. I'd definitely recommend it.
