Econo Lodge

The room had plenty wrong with it: a used pillow with an unchanged case, broken dresser drawers, no cups for the coffee maker, and bathroom mirror covered in window cleaner that hadn't been wiped off. At least the TV worked. Breakfast was mostly a struggle too. The Danish rolls were tiny and wrapped in plastic, and the Raisin Bran had raisins hard as little rocks, so I picked them out. No napkins or paper towels either. Bananas, toast, and coffee were about the only things I felt safe eating. For $62 I wasn't expecting much, but the place should still be maintained and offer some basic quality. We booked at the last minute and won't be back. It felt super scary. I was honestly expecting to find bed bugs, though thankfully we didn't see any in our room. Another guest said they'd never stay at this or another hotel in the chain again, and I felt the same. Hard to imagine the rest of the chain could be this bad.

I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The shower was blasting like a pressure washer, and the towels that were supposed to be white had lost their color. The sheets, pillows, and pillowcases were stained too. I didn't spot any bugs, but who knows what was going on after the lights went out. No photos, sorry.

The room was clean, with hot water, cold AC, and very fast internet. The bathtub was big for a motel, and the price was good. A few outlets didn't work at first, but they fixed them. No bugs.

There was only one towel for three guests, the toilet seat was broken, and one side of the bathroom doorknob was missing. The smoke detector was uncovered and didn't look like it worked, and some lights were missing or out. The walls and switches were filthy, and even the fridge was rusty. When we checked in, the young woman ran ahead to the room and came back out with a chocolate cake. I've never had such a horrible room. I won't stay here again, or at any other hotel with the same name.
