My Place Hotel-Beatrice, Ne

The outside looked clean and updated, and the lobby had new furnishings. But once we were in our room, we found what looked like a tiny bug in a kitchenette drawer and killed it. My daughter later saw more of the same bugs on the bathroom floor when she woke in the night. By breakfast, German cockroaches were everywhere, on the desk and kitchenette, and on the bathroom floor and in the tub. We got dressed as fast as we could, dumped our snacks, and left. The front desk didn't apologize, just refunded our stay. Even so, on the drive home we had to stop and wash our clothes and clean the car because of our luggage and supplies. The photo shows one bug on the wall by the kitchenette. I wouldn't recommend staying here, refund or not.

For our son's wedding, we booked two nights at My Place Hotel in Beatrice, NE, and reserved a block of rooms for our guests. Jon Henderson was easy to work with by email, very helpful, and quick to respond. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast wasn't included, but we'd definitely recommend the hotel as a reliable, friendly place to stay in the area.

My family liked how big and clean the rooms were, and the staff were friendly. But the in-room kitchen was no use to us without utensils, which most people don't bring on vacation. The website didn't mention that, and we'd planned to save money by making breakfast in the room. The AC in our room also didn't work. Even set to 63, we were hot all night. I was told there was complimentary coffee in the lobby around the clock, but there was no decaf when I went down. I'm not saying it's a bad place, but for the price we won't stay here on our way home.

The place was clean, which mattered most to us. There wasn't a breakfast buffet, just breakfast in the room, and that suited us since we don't eat much in the morning. No decaf was ready, but the staff offered to make some. Everyone was super friendly, and we'd try this brand again.
