All the other dealers were great, which makes it a shame that one person spoiled the casino and hotel for us. My buddies and I had been having an amazing time at the blackjack table for a few hours when one dealer came over. I can’t remember his name, and honestly it wasn’t worth remembering. He was rude, yelled at players for no reason, and shouted at employees too. Everyone got so uncomfortable that people left. I’ve never met anyone so miserable. He even grabbed an employee by the arm and yelled at them without reason. I think he should be fired, and if anyone from the casino reads this, I’m sure they know who I mean. I’ve never posted a negative review anywhere before, but it’s a shame one man can ruin the experience for everyone. I hope he never works with people again.

We stayed on New Year’s Eve and got to hear a really good live band at the bar for free. Great entertainment. Beatty is a cute little town, too, with gentle burros wandering around that you can feed. The hotel is pet friendly, and our room was spacious, newly remodeled, clean, and quiet. There’s a Denny's inside, though the food was just okay. We had an awesome stay and will go back.

The room was clean and nice, and the beds were comfortable. But we’d booked a King room by the pool a week ahead, and were given a double queen next to the gas station parking lot instead. The front desk staff said our room had been given to someone else. We were woken up several times by truck noise from the gas station, and I feel like I should ask for a refund. The other option was a room right beside the casino floor. The last time we chose that, the view was a brick wall and we could smell cigarette smoke. Check-in also took a while because the front desk staff have other duties and a short line was waiting for them to return.

The rooms are huge, everything worked well, and the beds were really comfortable. It’s also in a great spot for a drive out to Death Valley. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole place, from check-in to the little bit of gambling I did. The on-site Denny's served an unusually fantastic breakfast. Get the 9 grain pancake combo, it’s amazing. Friendly service added a lot to the stay too, from the guy at the front desk and the woman at the cashier cage to the waitress at Denny's. Before I headed out to Death Valley, a nice man from the bar saw me playing early in the morning, asked if I wanted a drink, and brought me coffee. It really felt like VIP treatment.

The room looked out at a concrete wall, and the whole place had a really off vibe. It felt creepy staying there. To get to the rooms, you have to walk through the casino, where the air is very stale and smoky. That smell carries into the hallways outside the rooms. Our room was very dirty, with stains on the carpet and a dirty shower.
